Yin Yoga is a quiet and passive style of yoga. Most postures are done reclined, on your back and some other postures are practices seated. Yin Yoga requires patience, deep breaths and compassion for your own physical limitations since the postures are held longer. The longer holds allows the practitioner to create an inner dialogue and remain in the present moment, give the body time to open up and the muscles to release. Through the deep breathing and the long holds, the deep connective tissue (Fascia) gets stretched and released.

A deep relaxation is the outcome of this practice and a terrific way to unwind from a stressfaul day.

This class is for ALL levels

Melanie Stalder teaches a traditional Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga and Aerial Yoga. She likes to add breath work, meditation, mantras and flowing sequences to her classes. Melanie graduated from the 500 hours teacher training with Stephen Thomas, Doug Keller and Christina May and spent time in Mysore, India and completed the 300hours Teachers Masters Education Program with Acharya Venkatesh and Acharye Hema. The teachers that inspired her most are, amongst others, Olive Ssembuze, Acharye Venkatesh, Acharye Hema and Stephen Thomas. Melanie teaches her classes in German and English. She organizes and conducts yoga retreats in Switzerland and Europe, offers various workshops regularly and teaches prospective yoga teachers in teacher trainings.
